Came in town for a vacation, decided where better to buy a ukulele been in Hawaii!? So I stopped in and the lady working there was absolutely amazing! We must’ve talked for an hour or more about music, and the difference in the types of ukulele… I got this beautiful Kala tenor travel uke… and I absolutely love it! I would highly recommend stopping in this place, if only for the amazing energy and friendly vibes!!! This place is great!
What a wonderful experience! I was on the island on vacation and had always wanted a ukulele. I had played guitar for many years and was looking to buy a ukulele to take back home. Ida was beyond helpful and really took her time making sure I had the best options to choose from. She was engaging and knowledgeable! We are novices when it comes to the ukulele, and came to Lahaina Music after visiting other ukulele shops. Jason was extremely friendly and informative. He did a great job of playing each ukulele for us while highlighting the differences and price points. In the end, we got a very nice solid wood ukulele that was appropriate for our skill level but will be great even as our skill improves. Prices were very good compared to other places. Jason even gave us a brief lesson to get us started. I’ve watched his YouTube videos and have already learned enough that I’m wanting to buy his instructional book too!

So glad we found this place, we wanted to buy my son a ukulele, but not from a typical souvenir shop. He plays guitar, so we wanted a quality instrument. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Max. He guided us in our decision-making, and even gave our son an impromptu lesson. Great little music shop that doesn’t feel like a tourist trap. They have a good range of Ukuleles: from beginner instruments to pricey hawaii-made instruments. The lady working there was really nice and had me try different ukuleles to find the one I felt most comfortable with. She was very knowledgeable and even swapped out the high G string for a low G string at my request. The store also has these nice padded ukulele cases with straps to carry it like a backpack. If you’re going to buy a ukulele in Hawaii, this is the shop to visit.

This is a great local music store and the musician who helped us was extremely knowledgeable in all of the details of the Ukulele. We ended up finding a great present for my son's fifth birthday.
Bought my second beautiful ukelele. Aida was so friendly and helpful, gave us additional help for our vacation. Have been watching Jason’s YouTube channel and bought his enormously helpful book at the store. This is a first rate family business, no pressure, and great variety of ukeleles for the beginner to the expert.
